  • Free admission for Gangneung citizens (self only) (ID required)
  • 50% discount for "Culture Day" on the last Wednesday of every month (additional discounts, such as group discounts, are not allowed).
  • Free admission for pre-school children aged 6 and under and senior citizens aged 65 and older (ID required)
  • Free admission for Persons of National Merit (spouse included), Surviving Family Members of a Person of National Merit (self only), and War Veterans (spouse included) (ID required)
  • Free admission for Distinguished Military Service Familiy Member (self only) (ID required)
  • For the admission of elementary, middle, and high school groups (school trip groups) and benefit recipient students from Gangneung school districts, a roster of student names must be submitted with the principal's seal
  • Free admission for persons with a disability (admission for self and one accompanying person in cases of severe disability, and admission for self only in cases of non-severe disability) (ID required)
Admission Restrictions
  • You are not allowed to enter with pets. (Exception: Guide dogs for the visually impaired are permitted.)
  • Wheelie shoes, kick scooters (including electric kick scooters), and bicycles are not allowed.

Exhibition Guide Service
  • To aid understanding of the exhibits, Gangneung Money Museum provides a ‘Voice Guide’ service in four languages (Korean/English/Chinese/Japanese).
Visitor Guidelines
  • All areas of the museum are non-smoking zones.
  • Bringing in food is prohibited.
  • Please maintain a quiet demeanor and refrain from running within the museum premises.
  • Do not touch the exhibits or engage in any actions that could cause damage.
  • Photography using flash/tripods or for commercial purposes is prohibited.
  • Please take care not to lose your belongings.
Group Visits
  • Group reservations are not available, and group visits are subject to on-site availability.
  • For group visits, please follow the guidance of the staff member in charge to ensure orderly viewing. (Admittance may not be possible during peak times.)
